ФРС как ускоритель: аналитики предсказывают резкий рост биткоина до конца года Fed as a Catalyst: Analysts Predict Bitcoin Surge by Year-End

The upcoming meeting of the U.S. Federal Reserve is expected to act as a catalyst for the growth of the leading cryptocurrency. This was stated by analysts David Brickell and Chris Mills from the London Crypto Club.

Experts anticipate a “dovish surprise” from the regulator. They foresee an influx of liquidity into the banking system through an indirect increase in the money supply and the purchase of bonds. This is likely to lead to a sharp rise in the digital asset market.

Brickell and Mills noted the shift towards a cycle of interest rate reductions amid the expansion of the Fed’s balance sheet. According to them, the regulator is effectively activating the printing press to monetize the deficit, creating a strong structural trend for the coming year.

Market participants assess the likelihood of a 25 basis point rate cut at 89.4%.

Users of the prediction platform Polymarket are even more optimistic, assigning a probability of 94%.

Ed Yardeni, president of Yardeni Research, confirmed that a loosening of monetary policy is expected almost unanimously.

*“Cryptocurrencies may continue their upward trajectory, but rather than a vertical surge, we might observe movements with sharp spikes. If the regulator’s rhetoric remains cautious, a short-term ‘sell the news’ reaction is likely. However, in the long run, the market will benefit from eased financial conditions and cheap borrowing,” said Toobit.*

Bloomberg Intelligence strategist Mike McGlone believes that the «Santa Claus rally» may not occur. He predicts Bitcoin will be trading below $84,000 by the year’s end.

Recall that in December, an expert going by the name Daan Crypto stated that the price of the leading cryptocurrency is holding at a key technical level, with a breach potentially leading to a significant decline in prices down to $76,000.
