Binance’s founder, Changpeng Zhao, has unveiled predict.fun, a fresh prediction market platform built on the BNB Chain. The initiative was developed by a former employee of the exchange with the support of YZi Labs.

The platform’s standout feature is the ability to earn passive income on funds locked in bets. This addresses the issue of inefficient capital utilization, where traders’ money remains idle while waiting for event outcomes.

Similar mechanisms have already been implemented by market leaders. Polymarket and Kalshi employ rewards from staking and point systems to compensate users for missed opportunities with long-term predictions.

As of the time of writing, there are two active markets on predict.fun, with a total volume of $302,305.

The platform has registered 12,499 users who have placed 272,984 bets.

The trading platform’s team has introduced Binance Junior, an application that features parental controls and a sub-account system designed for children and teenagers.

This product aims to assist families in building collective crypto savings and preparing the younger generation for a future rooted in the digital economy.

The service enables parents to safely introduce their children to the world of cryptocurrency while maintaining full control over the account.

It’s worth noting that in November, Binance topped the CoinDesk ranking of cryptocurrency exchanges for both spot and derivatives trading.
