10-Second Escapade: Minecraft Movie Drops on YouTube in a Whirlwind Shorts Format

The creators of the YouTube channel 2WeekPhase have released a full-length film titled «Minecraft in Cinema» in a separate video. The twist is that the film has been uploaded as a 10-second vertical Shorts clip, speeded up hundreds of times.

The video can be found on the 2WeekPhase YouTube channel, and the rights belong to Warner Bros.

By this technicality, the creators managed to avoid copyright infringement, as they shared only 10 seconds of the actual film. In the comments, viewers joke about watching a film at such a fast pace for the first time, although at certain moments they had to pause the playback to grasp the plot.

The premiere of «Minecraft in Cinema» took place on April 4, and by the 12th, the comedy made its way to Russia through unofficial channels. The film’s box office has already surpassed $550 million within just 10 days.
