Dallas Player DAngelo Russell Discusses the Unique Professionalism of Brooklyn Compared to Lakers and Others

The Dallas Mavericks’ NBA guard, **D’Angelo Russell**, discussed the unique characteristics of the Brooklyn Nets compared to other teams in the league.

«The Nets organization is different. It doesn’t resemble any other place. The team’s performance, the coaching… Everything you think about Brooklyn is quite different from your expectations. When I transitioned from the Lakers, the structure was completely unlike that of Brooklyn, where everything is organized, which taught me to be a professional.

I used to have a more carefree approach to the game. However, Brooklyn instilled professionalism in me—how to eat right, maintain a sleep routine, and recover properly. This is why I am still playing in the NBA. Honestly, I’m not the most athletic guy out there. I’m someone who takes good care of my body, ensuring proper recovery every time. That’s what Brooklyn taught me,” Russell shared on Dwyane Wade’s YouTube channel.

Russell played for Brooklyn from 2017 to 2018 and returned for the 2024/2025 season.
