Khachanov on New York: The Excitement Fades Amid the Citys Chaos

The ninth-ranked player in the world, Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov, expressed his fondness for New York and named some of the city’s famous landmarks he has visited.

— How much do you enjoy New York?
— I really like it. Every year when I come to New York, on the first day and during the first week, I eagerly anticipate being in the Big Apple. However, after a couple of weeks, you start to feel a bit overwhelmed by the noise and the crowds. It’s too cramped, too crowded, so you also get a bit tired of Manhattan.

— Have you ever done any tourist activities?
— I have been to the Metropolitan Museum. I haven’t visited the Statue of Liberty. I went to the Empire State Building. Those are the only two places I’ve been to, as reported by the ATP press office.
