Box Office Triumph: Horror Film Weapons Racks Up Over $250 Million, Reclaims Top Spot in the US Charts

After the fourth weekend, the horror film «Weapons» has made $134 million at the US box office. Directed by Zak Kreger, the horror flick managed to reclaim its position at the top of the local charts, despite facing competition from various other summer releases.

Meanwhile, the total box office revenue for «Weapons» has surpassed $250 million. The film continues to show remarkable staying power in theaters and is gradually closing in on the title of the highest-grossing horror film of 2025, «The Sinners.» Ryan Coogler’s film has earned $366 million at the box office and has also demonstrated impressive earnings throughout the month. The results are also similar to those of «Final Destination: Blood Ties,» which garnered around $300 million.

«Weapons» tells the story of the mysterious disappearance of children in a small town. One night, they all woke up, left their homes simultaneously, and vanished without a trace. The main roles in the film are played by Josh Brolin («Dune»), Julia Garner («Ozark»), and Amy Madigan («Goodbye, Baby, Goodbye»). The unofficial premiere of the film in Russia took place on August 14.
