Unveiling Arkheron: A Team-Based PvP Action Game from Blizzard Veterans

The studio **Bonfire**, with the support of publisher **DRIMAGE**, has officially announced its debut project—an epic fantasy PvP action game titled **Arkheron**. The development team is led by former creative director of **Blizzard Entertainment** and lead designer of **World of Warcraft**, **Rob Pardo**. He established **Bonfire Studios** in 2016 in collaboration with former Blizzard art director **Nick Carpenter** and former CEO of **Nexon America**, **Min Kim**. To aid in the development of their first title, the studio secured $25 million in funding from **Riot Games** and **Andreessen Horowitz**.

**Arkheron** focuses on the clash of diverse teams in a battle royale format, accommodating up to 15 teams of 3 players each in a single match. The primary objective is to defeat opponents and ascend to the top of a mysterious tower composed of fragments of the heroes’ memories.

There are no fixed roles or character classes in **Arkheron**, allowing for complete customization based on individual builds. Players can enhance and modify their heroes’ abilities using various equipment.

In addition to the aforementioned «Ascension» mode, the developers will offer two training modes at launch—one against other players and the other against bots. Initial system requirements have been outlined as follows:

**Arkheron** is being developed for PC (available on [Steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/3333850/Arkheron/)), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, but it will not feature a Russian localization. While no release date has been announced yet, interested gamers will have the opportunity to participate in alpha testing from September 19 to 21. All that is needed is to request access on the game’s Steam page and await a potential invitation.
