Rhythmic Action Adventure Ratatan Enters Early Access with First Hotfix Launch

The teams from TVT and Ratata Arts have released an early version of Ratatan, which is described as a «spiritual successor» to the rhythm-action series Patapon with roguelike elements. Initially, the game was expected to launch at the end of July, but the developers opted for extra time to refine it.

Similar to Patapon, players are tasked with leading various squads of adorable creatures embarking on a challenging journey to meet their Goddess. Throughout the game, players will experience the abilities of over 100 diverse characters, managed through rhythmic commands. Ratatan can be played solo or in cooperative mode with up to four players.

Within just one day of its launch, Ratatan received its first hotfix addressing multiplayer issues. The developers plan to enhance game elements soon based on player feedback. Speaking of feedback—within a day, Ratatan garnered over 500 ratings on Steam, with 89% of them being positive.

PATA, “thumbs up”

Ratatan is set to remain in early access on Steam for a duration of 6 months to a year. After its full release, the game will also be available on PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch. Unfortunately, the developers have not included Russian localization.
