Borderlands 4 Gets Major Patch to Enhance PC Stability and Introduce Endgame Content

Based on player feedback, the first major patch for  Borderlands 4, which was released just a day after the game’s launch, has not significantly impacted the game’s performance. The day before, Gearbox Software made a second attempt to improve the situation—this patch is currently available only on PC.

According to the update’s description on the official website, this patch enhances the stability of the PC version, resolves progression issues, and fixes a bug that caused items from the Gilded Glory Pack (given for pre-orders) to appear in regular chests.

Additionally, the update addresses crashes that could occur due to specific animations, audio issues, collision checks, and problems related to graphics cards. If you experienced issues with the rewards center after obtaining items from the Gilded Glory Pack, those problems have now been resolved.

The patch has also introduced endgame content to Borderlands 4, which will be refreshed weekly. For instance, an enhanced version of one of the bosses and special quests have been added, offering players legendary gear as rewards for completion.

It remains unclear when a similar update will reach consoles. The patch notes indicate that one of the smaller fixes will «arrive on consoles in the coming days.» Therefore, players can be optimistic that a major patch for PS5 and Xbox Series is on its way.
