James Toney Identifies Boxer Set to Defeat Dmitry Bivol

The former three-weight world champion and now Hall of Fame member, American **James Toney**, has identified the boxer he believes will defeat the light heavyweight champion (up to 79.4 kg), Russian **Dmitry Bivol**.

“David Benavidez is more active and hits harder. He’ll knock out Bivol,” Toney stated in an interview with the YouTube channel Mill City Boxing.

David Benavidez is 28 years old. He turned professional in 2013 and has twice held the world championship in the super middleweight division (up to 76.2 kg). Starting in 2024, he will compete in the light heavyweight category. Currently, he holds the WBC world championship title.
