The 24th-ranked player in the world from Canada, **Viktoriya Mboko**, has faced four consecutive defeats following her victory at the WTA 1000 tournament in Montreal, Canada, in August.

In Montreal, Mboko claimed her first career title, defeating Japanese player Naomi Osaka in the final with a scoreline of 2-6, 6-4, 6-1. She entered the tournament with a wild card and had never previously reached the finals of any WTA events. After this success, however, she has now lost four matches in a row.

Today, on October 14, in the first round of the WTA 500 tournament in Ningbo, China, Mboko was defeated by Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremska, who is ranked 30th in the world. The match concluded with a score of 3-6, 6-7. The Ningbo tournament is taking place from October 13 to 19.
