Techland Unveils Exciting 11-Week Content Plan for Dying Light: The Beast

The studio Techland has revealed an extensive update roadmap for Dying Light: The Beast. Gamers can anticipate 11 weeks filled with new content, including a «New Game +» mode, a «Legend Levels» system, a hardcore «Nightmare» difficulty, and a series of challenges called «Call of the Beast.»

The updates commence today, October 16, and will continue until January 7. Each week, the community will receive a fresh set of tasks, and the most engaged players will have the chance to earn exclusive rewards ranging from rare weapons to unique vehicle skins. Special «legendary» prizes await players during the fourth, eighth, and final weeks.

The first week’s challenge is now available, focusing on severing as many limbs as possible. Players can earn a Lumberjack pickup skin for cutting off 30,000,000 body parts, and a Woodchopper axe for 60,000,000.

Techland emphasizes that the Call of the Beast events are designed to foster community engagement: to receive rewards, it’s not just about completing objectives but also contributing collectively. Accomplishing seventeen out of twenty-two goals will unlock a secret legendary reward, and if the collective effort reaches the twentieth goal, all participants—even those who join the event later—will receive prizes.

Additionally, Techland is preparing a collaboration with PUBG Mobile, enhanced ray tracing on PC, new animations and executions, as well as visual and technical improvements to make the Castor Woods environment even more immersive.

Players can respond to the «Call of the Beast» in Dying Light: The Beast on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5. The new story featuring Kyle Crane has been fully translated into Russian.
