Finnish Coach Comments on Russian Skiers Training Camp in Ramsau

The head coach of the Finnish cross-country skiing team, Teemu Pasanen, has responded to the news that Russian ski athletes are holding a training camp in Ramsau and are staying in the same hotel as the Finnish team. In Austria, preparations for the season are being conducted by athletes under the guidance of Yuri Borodavko and Egor Sorin.

«We had no prior information regarding this training camp. Once we arrived, we noticed that they seemed to be training here as well and that they had been allowed to come. Our focus is on our own training, and it doesn’t matter to us who else is here.

At the very least, there are skiers from Switzerland, Austria, France, and Slovakia present. Biathletes from various national teams are also conducting their training here,» Pasanen told Ilta-Sanomat.

The coach also emphasized that there have been no tense moments, such as during breakfast at the hotel.
