Sarkis Oganesyan Discusses Dmitry Vorobyovs Progress in the 2025/2026 Season

Former Lokomotiv coach Sarkis Oganesyan shared his thoughts on the progress of the team’s forward Dmitry Vorobyov in the 2025/2026 season.

“Vorobyov is effectively tackling his responsibilities. He has improved compared to last year. Perhaps the arrival of Komlichenko has inspired Dmitry. With two forwards, the team shows a solid performance. Many believed that bringing in a second striker against Dynamo was unnecessary, but the coaches have their reasons. They are aware of the players’ condition and draw different conclusions,” Oganesyan told Championship correspondent Maria Kutsubaeva.

Dmitry Vorobyov joined Lokomotiv from Orenburg last summer. In the current edition of the Russian Premier League, the forward has scored seven goals and provided two assists in 11 matches.
