Nightdive Unveils Nintendo Switch Releases for System Shock Remake

Developers at Nightdive Studios have added to the list of platforms for the highly anticipated remake of the original  System Shock, announcing new versions for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 consoles.

On Nintendo platforms, the remake will be available not only digitally through the eShop but also in cartridge format. Among the features of the new versions, developers highlighted mouse support on the Switch 2 Joy-Con controllers, as well as aiming via gyroscope.

The release of the Switch versions is planned for this year. In the debut trailer, the developers did not specify an exact release date, even with just over two months remaining in the year. It has been announced that the game will run at 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second on the Switch 2.

As of now, the updated System Shock is available on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation, and Xbox. On Valve’s platform, it boasts a «very positive» rating of 90% based on over 11,000 reviews.
