The 31st-ranked British tennis player, Cameron Norrie, expressed his feelings following his surprising victory in the second round of the Masters tournament in Paris, France, where he defeated world No. 1, Spanish player Carlos Alcaraz, with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.

«It’s always nice to be the underdog. I was able to just focus on playing my tennis, going point by point. Right from the start, I had to tackle some tough shots. However, I’m proud of how I maintained my composure during the crucial moments,» Norrie stated in an interview with BB Tennis.

This victory marks the first time in his career that the Brit has triumphed over the world’s top-ranked player. To secure a spot in the quarterfinals, Cameron will face Valanten Vashero.
