Martin Nečas Enthusiastically Discusses His $92 Million Contract with Colorado Avalanche

Forward Martin Nečas has shared his thoughts on his new eight-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche, valued at $92 million.

«I’m extremely happy to extend my contract with the team and thrilled to play in front of you all. We will do everything we can to bring the Stanley Cup back to Denver,» Nečas stated, as reported by the Colorado press office.

Nečas was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes with the 12th overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft. He was traded to Colorado on January 24, 2025.

This season, the 26-year-old forward has participated in 11 games, scoring seven goals and providing six assists. Overall, Martin has played 452 games in the National Hockey League, accumulating 339 points (131 goals and 208 assists).
