Pioneer of Dragon Quest, Yuji Horii, Receives the Order of the Rising Sun Award

The founding father of the iconic JRPG series **Dragon Quest**, **Yuji Horii**, has made history by becoming the first game designer to receive the prestigious Order of the Rising Sun from the Japanese government.

This award is the third highest honor, following the Order of the Chrysanthemum and the Order of the Paulownia Flowers. It is important to note that the latter two are primarily conferred upon politicians and heads of state, while the Order of the Rising Sun is awarded to civilians for their remarkable contributions. Horii shared his thoughts on this momentous occasion with the following comment:
