Cloud Gaming Officially Launches on PlayStation Portal, Expanding Gaming Possibilities

After extensive testing, ***Sony*** has officially announced the launch of cloud gaming streaming on the PlayStation Portal. Previously, this accessory could only stream gameplay through Remote Play on the PS5, but now its direct reliance on the console has been removed.

Starting tomorrow at 05:00 Moscow time, one of the largest updates for PS Portal will begin rolling out. Owners of the accessory with a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription will be able to enjoy select titles from their library via the cloud.

At launch, the streaming service will feature games such as [Astro Bot](https://stopgame.ru/game/astro_bot), [Borderlands 4](https://stopgame.ru/game/borderlands_4), [Final Fantasy VII Rebirth](https://stopgame.ru/game/final_fantasy_vii_rebirth), [Fortnite](https://stopgame.ru/game/fortnite), [Ghost of Yōtei](https://stopgame.ru/game/ghost_of_yotei), [Grand Theft Auto V](https://stopgame.ru/game/grand_theft_auto_5), [Resident Evil 4](https://stopgame.ru/game/resident_evil_4_2023), among others. Additionally, the system will support a wide range of titles from the PlayStation Plus library and classic catalog games like [Cyberpunk 2077](https://stopgame.ru/game/cyberpunk_2077), [Hogwarts Legacy](https://stopgame.ru/game/hogwarts_legacy), and [The Last of Us Part II Remastered](https://stopgame.ru/game/last_of_us_2). A complete list of titles available for streaming on PS Portal can be found [here](http://playstation.com/ps5-game-cloud-streaming).

As ***Sony*** proudly stated, this innovation opens up new gaming possibilities: *“You can play alongside a friend using your PS5 under a separate account or stream your favorite game while someone else watches a movie on the same console.”* To ensure everything runs smoothly, a high-speed internet connection is required.

The update also includes additional features:

PlayStation Portal was released for sale on November 15, 2023, and to ***Sony***’s surprise, the device turned out to be much more popular than the company had anticipated. As a result, if rumors hold true, ***Sony*** has initiated the development of a fully-fledged portable console.
