Insomniac Games Stays on Course: Marvel’s Wolverine Set for Fall 2026 Release Despite GTA VI Delay

While the industry is buzzing about the notable delay of Grand Theft Auto VI to November 2026, Insomniac Games has chosen to stick to its original schedule. The developers have confirmed that their highly anticipated title, Marvel’s Wolverine, is still slated for release in the fall of 2026, just as previously announced.

This new game will continue the superhero saga initiated by Insomniac with Marvel’s Spider-Man and its sequel, but this time the studio promises a much darker and more mature tone. The debut trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine showcases brutal scenes, blood, and intense combat—a regenerating mutant with claws clearly isn’t holding back.

Insomniac doesn’t explicitly state that the announcement of the release date is related to the delay of “Grand Theft Auto 6,” but the update came shortly after Rockstar Games announced that the release of GTA VI would be postponed from May to November 2026. Many major titles typically aim to avoid launching alongside such high-profile games, yet Insomniac seems confident in its position and does not plan to yield to the competition.

Players can already add Marvel’s Wolverine to their wishlist on the PlayStation Store to stay updated on release news. More details about the game are expected to be revealed in the spring of 2026.
