Dana White Reveals Conditions for Islam Makhachev to Reclaim P4P Top Spot

UFC President Dana White has confirmed that 34-year-old former UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev from Russia will reclaim the top spot in the pound-for-pound rankings if he beats the UFC welterweight champion, Australian Jack Della Maddalena, at UFC 322.

“If Islam wins against Jack on Sunday, he will take over the number one position from Ilia in the P4P rankings,” White stated in an interview with TMZ.

Makhachev holds a professional record of 27 wins, with 18 of those being finishes, and one defeat. He is currently on a 15-fight winning streak. Makhachev made his professional debut in 2010.

His most recent fight took place on January 18, where he faced Brazilian fighter Renato Moicano in the main event of UFC 311 in Los Angeles, California. Makhachev won the match via submission in the first round.
