SKA Triumphs Over Eastern Leader Metallurg and Reclaims Playoff Spot

In Saint Petersburg, the «Ice Palace» hosted another match of the Kontinental Hockey League’s regular season, featuring SKA taking on Metallurg Magnitogorsk. The game ended with the home team winning 4-3.

The army club’s goals were scored by Nikita Dishkovsky, Igor Larionov Jr., Rocco Grimaldi, and Yegor Zelenov. For Metallurg, Vladimir Tkachyov, Alexander Petunin, and Derek Barach found the back of the net.

Following this defeat, Metallurg saw their five-game winning streak come to an end. Meanwhile, SKA’s victory allowed them to reclaim a playoff spot in the Western Conference, moving up to seventh place.

In their next Kontinental Hockey League match, SKA will face CSKA away on November 24. Metallurg Magnitogorsk is set to play against local team Traktor in Chelyabinsk on November 18.
