Recent rumors about the upcoming ports of the original **Red Dead Redemption** for current platforms have been confirmed quite swiftly. Just moments ago, the staff at **Rockstar** released a corresponding [trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlkizyzZ8k4) announcing the new versions of the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2, in addition to mobile devices running iOS and Android.

The release is set for December 2. This includes both the main game and its expansion, **Undead Nightmare**. It’s worth noting that **Red Dead Redemption** can already be played on the current-generation consoles through backward compatibility. The native versions for PS5 and Xbox Series will feature a smooth frame rate of 60 fps, enhanced graphics quality, HDR support, and a resolution of up to 4K.

On the Switch 2, developers have implemented DLSS and HDR support, mouse control capabilities in desktop mode, and increased resolution at 60 fps. Regarding the mobile versions, they will be available on both the App Store and Google Play, with **Netflix** subscribers able to download them at no extra charge.

Owners of **Red Dead Redemption** on previous-generation consoles will be able to upgrade to the native next-gen versions free of charge. Additionally, the developers have included a save transfer feature. Lastly, another pleasant surprise — at launch, the new versions of **Red Dead Redemption** will be added to the PlayStation Plus catalog for both PS5 and PS4.
