Judd Trump: A Champions Struggle with Five Finals Defeats in the Champion of Champions

Four-time world champion, English snooker player Mark Selby triumphed over the world number one, his compatriot Judd Trump, with a score of 10-5 in the final of the 2026 Champion of Champions tournament held in Leicester, England.

Notably, Trump has lost five out of six finals at the Champion of Champions event: in 2023, he was defeated by Mark Allen, in 2022 by Ronnie O’Sullivan, in 2019 by Neil Robertson, and in 2014 also by O’Sullivan. The only time Trump clinched the title was in 2021 when he beat John Higgins in the final.

The 36-year-old Judd Trump is the 2019 world champion. He has been inducted into the Snooker Hall of Fame since 2021 and is also a member of the Order of the British Empire.
