Rafaël Riche Reflects on Traktors Home Loss to Amur: We Need to Play Better for All 60 Minutes

The acting head coach of Traktor, **Rafael Riche**, commented on the home defeat against Amur (4:6).

— We didn’t perform well enough in the first period. If we had played like we did in the second and third periods, the outcome would have been different.

**— Driedger conceded four goals today. Was he nervous?**
— It’s probably better to direct that question to Christopher. I don’t think he was nervous. It was just not his best game.

**— You can imagine the atmosphere after the first period. How did you communicate with the team at that moment? Did you have a conversation or did the players manage the situation themselves?**
— I told the team the same thing I just shared with you. We weren’t good enough in the first period, especially in our defensive zone, and we weren’t tracking the puck. Overall, we needed to improve in the last two periods, which the guys did. They turned the situation around, but it’s essential to play hockey for the full 60 minutes. Otherwise, victory is out of reach.

**— You remain very calm on the bench. Are you the same in the locker room?**
— There are different moments. It’s important to channel your emotions appropriately. You have to know when to stay calm and when to show feelings. Perhaps I was a bit more emotional today after the first period. But everything has to fit the moment, — Riche is quoted by the Traktor website.
