Unity and Epic Games Unite: Bringing Unity Games to Fortnites Vast Audience

**Epic Games** and **Unity**, two companies often regarded as direct competitors, have surprisingly announced a collaboration. Developers using Unity will now have the ability to publish their games directly within Fortnite. This information was shared by **Epic’s** CEO, Tim Sweeney, during the Unite conference.

Sweeney revealed that this integration is made possible through a new technology from Unity. Developers will gain access to tools that facilitate the transfer of their projects into **Fortnite** without complicated workarounds. This presents creators with the opportunity to reach a vast audience and enhances the **Fortnite** ecosystem as a venue for third-party content.

The partnership extends beyond this one feature. **Unity** is also planning to integrate support for Unreal Engine into its commercial platform, enabling creators on Unreal to efficiently manage catalogs, showcases, and payments across various devices—from PCs to mobile platforms.

Sweeney emphasized that both companies are dedicated to promoting open and fair digital ecosystems: “Much like in the early days of the Internet, we believe that companies need to collaborate to build accessible and compatible systems.”

**Unity’s** CEO, Matt Bromberg, echoed his colleague’s sentiments, stating that choice and open standards foster industry growth and create new opportunities for developers globally.

Further details regarding this integration are expected to be revealed next year.

It’s worth noting that Tim Sweeney has long advocated for reforms in digital platforms. **Epic Games** has spent several years challenging **Apple’s** commissions in court and previously referred to **Valve** as “scoundrels” for high fees imposed on developers.
