On November 18, the internet infrastructure provider Cloudflare faced significant technical issues that disrupted the functionality of numerous websites and applications.

This incident resulted in a plethora of «500 errors» and issues with the frontend, the application programming interface (API), and Cloudflare’s management dashboards.

The company’s status page reported, «We are aware of the issue affecting many customers and are currently investigating it.»

Among the major entities affected are the social network X, OpenAI’s website, music streaming service Spotify, Amazon Web Services (AWS), the ride-sharing app Uber, the video game League of Legends, and others.

The cryptocurrency sector was also impacted, including the exchange Coinbase, the L2 network Base, and the online broker Robinhood. The trading platform BitMEX announced the initiation of an investigation related to Cloudflare.

The crypto wallet Ledger experienced malfunctions across several of its services.

Analysts are also monitoring disruptions in various blockchains. According to their findings, issues have been reported with coins such as EGLD, ADA, ICX, FIL, KAS, OSMO, STX, MINA, and ICP. Additionally, errors have been noted in the Toncoin network.

In light of the incident, shares of Cloudflare Inc (NET) declined by 3.9%, reaching $194.
