Last autumn, the Japanese studio MAGES announced the upcoming release of  Steins;Gate Re:boot — a reboot of the iconic visual novel  Steins;Gate, which was originally scheduled for launch in 2025. Recently, the developers have opened a page for the game on Steam and announced that the release date has now been pushed back to 2026.

There are still no extensive details about the reboot. It is only known that, in addition to improved visuals, the creators are planning certain changes and expansions to the narrative:

The premise remains the same—players will follow the life of college student Rintarou Okabe, whose experiments have led to the discovery of a method to alter the timeline. Soon, the protagonist finds himself embroiled in a global conspiracy, and he is now determined to save not just his close friends, but all possible futures. The gameplay is expected to take between 30 to 50 hours on average.

As of now, Steins;Gate Re:boot is confirmed only for PC and does not have a Russian localization.
