Geoff Keighleys Mysterious Steam Wishlist Sparks Half-Life 3 Speculation

Geoff Keighley is certainly building anticipation ahead of the December ceremony for The Game Awards. Fans have noticed that the journalist has only one game in his Steam wishlist, sparking hopes among Half-Life enthusiasts that it might be the long-awaited third installment.

Recently, on November 17, the organizers of TGA announced the nominees for the upcoming awards. On social media platform X, Keighley shared a link to the list of participating games on Steam. Observant commentators pointed out that the screenshot he shared shows only one title in his wishlist. When asked to reveal its name, he responded with an emoji featuring eyes.

Shortly afterward, Keighley revealed that the game he had in his wishlist is Dadlympics, a lesser-known online game where “dad jokes merge with physics-based chaos.” However, the screenshot from Geoff indicates that he added Dadlympics to his wishlist on November 18—just one day after he posted the previous image.

So, what about Half-Life 3? Well, it seems unrelated, but some fans persist in stretching their hopes for a connection. In the Steam profile of Valve, the section for upcoming games only lists the MOBA shooter Deadlock, while the “Game” category displays the number 2. What the company is keeping under wraps remains a mystery.

Perhaps the long-anticipated announcement will take place during The Game Awards 2025. The event is scheduled to kick off on December 12 at 03:30 Moscow time. A live stream will be available on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch.
