Aztec Network запускает Ignition Chain: первый приватный L2-протокол на Ethereum Translation: Aztec Network Launches Ignition Chain: The First Privacy-Focused L2 Protocol on Ethereum

The privacy-focused team behind the L2 project Aztec Network has announced the launch of the Ignition Chain on the Ethereum mainnet. The developers have branded it as “the first fully decentralized second-layer solution.”

Block production commenced once the queue of validators reached 500 participants. Prior to the mainnet launch, a public testnet was initiated in May.

The Ignition Chain serves as a foundation for a “private world computer,” where DeFi applications can be developed with end-to-end privacy. The technology employs zero-knowledge proofs to address blockchain transparency issues while allowing data verification.

Last week, registration began for the token sale of the project’s native asset, AZTEC. The token is utilized for staking, governance, and block reward payouts. To activate, a validator must lock up 200,000 AZTEC.

At the time of writing, the project had raised approximately $2.7 million from over 1,960 campaign participants.

Public trading is set to begin on December 2.

It’s worth noting that in 2023, Aztec developers announced the discontinuation of the Connect second-layer network aimed at scaling Ethereum.
