Ekaterina Lazareva Joins Lokomotiv Kaliningrad as New Setter

29-year-old Russian setter **Ekaterina Lazareva** has joined the Kaliningrad «Lokomotiv» team. This was announced by the club’s press service on its official website. She will take over the position previously held by Tatyana Dmitrieva.

In her role as a setter, Lazareva will be teaming up with 19-year-old Anna Pogorelchenko.

Throughout her career in Russia, Lazareva has played for teams including «Dynamo-Ak Bars,» «Dynamo Krasnodar,» «Zarechie-Odintsovo,» «Primorochka,» «Voronezh,» «Lipetsk,» and «Sakhalin.» She spent the 2023/2024 season with the French team «Levallois.» In 2021, she was part of the Russian national team that competed in the Nations League.

In November 2024, Lazareva temporarily joined the Turkish volleyball club «VakıfBank,» which features Marina Markova. She was brought in to «maintain the quality of the team’s training» until the return of the injured Cansu Özbay. However, she did not play any full matches for the Turkish team during her time there.
