Mid-Race Challenges: Ebba Andersson Reflects on Her 10km Performance in Ruka

Two-time Olympic medalist and six-time world champion in cross-country skiing, Ebba Andersson, shared her thoughts on her performance in the 10 km individual start classic race at the first stage of the 2025/2026 World Cup in Ruka, Finland. The skier finished in fourth place, finishing 21.2 seconds behind the winner, fellow Swede Frida Karlsson.

«My first lap went well, but around the middle of the race, I struggled and couldn’t recover as I would have liked. Right now, it’s mentally tough for me to feel that I’m not bouncing back as much as I wanted. But this happens at this time of year. I think I need to focus on my current shape and keep pushing forward,” Andersson was quoted by SVT.
