Основатель Monad Labs опроверг критику Артура Хэйеса и поделился уникальными особенностями L1-блокчейна Translation: Founder of Monad Labs Refutes Arthur Hayes Criticism and Shares Unique Features of L1 Blockchain

The founder of the L1 network revealed its architectural details.

Kion Hon, the founder of Monad Labs, responded to comments made by BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes regarding the new L1 blockchain. The developer explained the technical nuances of the project in detail and addressed the crypto expert’s skepticism.

On November 29, during the Altcoin Daily podcast, Hayes referred to Monad as a «typical venture token with an inflated FDV.» The analyst predicted a 99% collapse of MON.

Hayes elaborated that projects with a significant gap between FDV and circulating supply often experience a short-lived speculative pump, followed by a crash when tokens are unlocked for founders and funds.

“This is yet another ‘bearish’ blockchain. Initial hype does not guarantee the formation of a sustainable ecosystem,» Hayes stated.

He pointed out that historical statistics indicate a low survival rate for new L1 solutions, with only a few remaining relevant in the long term. Among them are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Zcash, he noted.

At the time of writing, MON was trading at $0.02, which is 52% lower than its peak of $0.04 reached on November 26.

Hon emphasized that he respects Hayes’ contributions to the industry; however, he believes that the recent comments were taken out of context. According to the project head, Monad is not just another layer-one blockchain but a technologically innovative architecture.

One of the key advantages of the network, according to Hon, is its speed. Withdrawals from Coinbase and their reflection in wallets take only one to two seconds.

The Monad founder highlighted several important aspects:

Hon also mentioned the launch of the MON token, which became the first on the Coinbase token sale platform. The team employed a «fill from the bottom» distribution model to prevent major players from acquiring the entire issuance.

In conclusion, the developer invited Hayes to test the network personally and expressed his willingness to send him MON tokens for transactions.

It is worth noting that in November, attackers began executing fake transfers of ERC-20 tokens on the Monad network.
