«I was surprised by my pace. We matched the speed of the cars ahead of us, at least for a while. I tried to apply some pressure by making two pit stops, but Lando mirrored our strategy, which made it less exciting. I just wanted to experiment with something different,» Leclerc stated, as reported by Motorsport-Magazin.

Charles concluded the season in fifth place in the drivers’ standings, accumulating 242 points.
