Saros Receives Age Rating, Pre-Order Launch May Be Imminent

In September, the creators of Returnal from Housemarque revealed the release date for their new action game titled Saros. A couple of months later, the game received an age rating from the Taiwanese agency, sparking rumors online about an imminent start for pre-orders.

It is likely that pre-orders will become available during The Game Awards 2025 ceremony shortly after a new trailer is showcased. However, the developers have not made any official announcements yet, so this information should not be taken as definitive.

Saros will take players to the dark planet of Karkosa, which is under the ominous shadow of an eclipse. The protagonist is Arjun Devraj, an unyielding Saltari warrior on a quest for answers in a lost colony, trying to break the cycle of death. According to the gameplay description, the developers are incorporating familiar roguelike mechanics from Returnal. Each time the hero dies, the surrounding environments change, unlocking new upgrades.

The release of Saros is set for March 20, 2026, exclusively on PlayStation 5.
