Max Verstappen Bids Farewell to Helmut Marko After His Departure from Red Bull

Four-time world champion and Red Bull driver **Max Verstappen** expressed his gratitude to the team’s former motorsport advisor **Helmut Marko**.

“Thank you, Helmut. Together, we have achieved everything we ever dreamed of. I am endlessly grateful to you for believing in me,” Verstappen wrote on his X social media account.

Marko, who is 82 years old, has served as an advisor since the team’s inaugural Formula 1 season in 2005. During this time, Red Bull has claimed the Constructors’ Championship six times, and its drivers, Sebastian Vettel (2010-2013) and Max Verstappen (2021-2024), have each won the world championship four times. As a driver, Marko participated in the «royal races» from 1971 to 1972 and ended his career at the age of 29 due to an eye injury.
