Disappointment in the Ring: Pegliyans Reflections on His World Championship Semi-Final Loss

Russian boxer **Andrey Pegliyanan** commented on his defeat in the semifinals of the World Boxing Championship, where he lost to Kazakhstan’s **Orazbek Asylkulov**.

«Everything at the World Championship? Not great, given my face. I’m not satisfied with the outcome or the judges’ decision. Being the top seed? So what. That doesn’t mean anything. But ultimately, it’s my fault. I’ll need to review the fight.

The guys have been supportive, which is good. We’re one team. Our compatriots have come to cheer us on, and my teammates are here as well. I want to express my gratitude to everyone and apologize to those who are disappointed with my performance and expected more. I also want to apologize to my coach. We’ll work hard and come back stronger,» Pegliyanan’s words were conveyed by Championship correspondent Alexander Frolov.

As a reminder, the World Championship is being held under the auspices of the International Boxing Association (IBA) from December 2 to 13 in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). Russian boxers are competing wearing national colors. In total, athletes from over 120 countries are participating in the event.
