Binance получает международный сертификат для управления искусственным интеллектом, подчеркивая этичные инновации Translation: Binance obtains international certification for artificial intelligence management, highlighting ethical innovation.

The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, has received the ISO/IEC 42001 certification, which is the international standard for artificial intelligence management systems. This information was shared in the company’s blog.

The certification was awarded by A-LIGN, a respected compliance assessment organization accredited by the National Accreditation Board ANSI.

«This highlights our commitment to the ethical, transparent, and secure deployment of artificial intelligence across all operations,» the company stated.

ISO/IEC 42001 is an international standard that defines requirements for artificial intelligence management systems, facilitating responsible oversight of technology by organizations.

“At Binance, this certification affirms the robustness of the framework we have established for the appropriate application of AI. By utilizing this framework throughout the lifecycle of large language models (LLM), we enhance the security, reliability, and accountability of our systems, aligning them with new regulations such as the EU AI Act,” the exchange’s blog noted.

The certification «ensures» that AI tools are used responsibly and in compliance with international standards.

“ISO/IEC 42001 validates the soundness of the structure we have built around responsible AI. […] In practice, this is about ensuring our AI behaves as intended, even as it becomes more complex,” commented Binance’s Chief Security Officer Jimmy Su.

The blog emphasized that the unified approach to responsible innovation represented by ISO/IEC 42001 «easily integrates» with existing ISO certifications: ISO 27001 for security, ISO 27701 for privacy, and ISO 22301 for business continuity.

“Achieving ISO/IEC 42001 reflects Binance’s strong commitment to responsible innovation. Together with our recent licensing from the Abu Dhabi regulator, this underscores the management and oversight standards we are establishing on a global scale. As AI technologies evolve, we will continue to uphold the highest levels of transparency and user protection to foster trust in the Web3 industry,” remarked co-CEO Richard Teng.

Binance’s Data Protection Officer, Barry Young, pointed out that the exchange has become one of the few organizations worldwide to hold ISO certifications in security, privacy, and AI management simultaneously.

The responsible use of artificial intelligence is deemed a «cornerstone for the company’s future development in finance,» as stated in the blog.

Notably, in 2025, Binance recorded an inflow of $1.17 trillion—setting a historic high among cryptocurrency exchanges.

In December, the platform reached a milestone with 300 million registered users.
