Final Fantasy IX Animated Series Resurrected: Premiere Set for 2028

Back in 2021, the Paris-based animation studio **Cyber Group** embarked on the creation of a cartoon series set in the iconic universe of **Final Fantasy IX**. Despite a promising kickoff, updates about the project were scarce for an extended period, and this past spring, the studio officially **closed its doors**, putting the future of the series in jeopardy. Fortunately, the team at **Euro Visual** stepped in to **rescue** the project and take over its further production.

The series will consist of thirteen 22-minute episodes aimed at a younger audience between the ages of 6 and 13. The synopsis remains consistent—the storyline unfolds after the events of **Final Fantasy IX**, focusing on the adventures of Vivi’s children:

Series Synopsis

The entire series will be presented in 2D animation. Even though it has been four years since the initial announcement, there is no expectation for a quick release, as **Euro Visual** has slated the premiere for 2028.
