LG представляет человека-робота: ваш новый помощник по дому Translation: LG unveils humanoid robot: your new home assistant

LG Electronics has unveiled its next-generation home robot powered by artificial intelligence, named LG CLOiD. This has been reported by The Korea Times.

A comprehensive presentation is scheduled for January 6 at the CES 2026 exhibition.

The device is capable of performing household tasks, managing appliances, and engaging naturally with residents by understanding their daily routines and surroundings.

The launch of LG CLOiD aligns with the company’s long-term vision of creating a «home without mundane chores, where people can spend time together.»

In one demonstration, the robot prepares breakfast for a resident in a hurry to get to work. Following a pre-set algorithm, the bot retrieves milk from the fridge, places croissants in the oven, and gathers essential items such as apartment keys. After the person leaves, LG CLOiD continues to handle household chores.

The robot features a humanoid design to optimize its functions. Its body consists of a head and two arms, and it moves on wheels. LG CLOiD can adjust its height between 105 cm and 143 cm, with limbs approximately 87 cm in length that allow it to reach for various objects.

The robot’s head serves as the control center for the «smart home,» built on LG’s AI platform, LG Q9. It houses a chipset, display, speakers, cameras, sensors, and a voice-generating AI.

«Our goal is to create a home where robots and AI-powered appliances take on household responsibilities, allowing people to relax, enjoy life, and focus on what truly matters,» stated representatives from LG.

Additionally, it is worth noting that in December 2025, six humanoid robots G1 from Unitree Robotics performed at a concert as backup dancers, executing synchronized front flips.
