Pac-Man Joins the Race: New Content for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Launches January 7

SEGA has announced that content featuring the cheerful yellow sphere will be available for  Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds this week on January 7th. Alongside the paid content, players can also expect an unexpected bonus: a free in-game festival accessible to everyone.

The Pac-Man Pack will be part of the Season Pass and Digital Deluxe edition. This package will introduce a new racer, a unique vehicle, and a specially designed track inspired by the classic arcade game. For those who are not interested in purchasing the expansion, SEGA has organized the Pac-Man Festival event, which will take place from January 7th to 11th and will be available to all players.

Pac-Man is the latest guest character featured as part of the seasonal content. The game has previously seen crossover characters from SpongeBob SquarePants and  Minecraft. Throughout the year, SEGA intends to release paid packs themed around Mega Man, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem movie, and Avatar: The Last Airbender.

In addition, the developers continue to regularly introduce free characters. Racers can already select Hatsune Miku, Joker from Persona, and Ichiban Kasuga from Like a Dragon. And that’s not all—the team has more surprises on the way.

Game director Masaru Kohayakawa has previously mentioned that the team is preparing content for all of 2026 and aims to surprise gamers even more than they did at launch.
