Martyanova Claims Bronze at World Cup Stage in Hong Kong

Olympic champion and Russian fencer Marta Martyanova claimed a bronze medal at the World Cup fencing event held on January 9 and 10 in Hong Kong.

In the semifinals, Martyanova faced off against American fencer Lee Keifer, losing with a score of 9-15. It is noteworthy that Keifer later won the competition by defeating Italian fencer Francesca Palumbo in the final (15-12).

At 27 years old, Martyanova is the Olympic champion from the Tokyo 2020 Games in the team event. Additionally, she has secured silver medals in the team categories at the European Championships in both 2017 and 2018.
