Luxury Apartment Drama: Buyer Demands Forced Eviction of Larisa Dolina After Controversial Sale

A woman who bought a luxury apartment in Moscow from pop singer Larisa Dolina has requested that court officials evict the artist after she allegedly refused to relinquish the keys, according to reports from Russian state media on Monday.

Svetlana Sviridenko, the lawyer representing purchaser Polina Lurye, stated, “We are awaiting the official ruling to initiate enforcement proceedings,” in comments to the state-run TASS news agency. She mentioned that she has submitted an eviction request on her client’s behalf to the court bailiffs.

Polina Lurye, a 34-year-old businesswoman, acquired the five-room dwelling in the upscale Khamovniki area of Moscow from Dolina in 2024. It later emerged that the 70-year-old singer had been misled by con artists impersonating FSB agents into selling her property.

Unbeknownst to Lurye, these fraudsters had also been in communication with her, leading to her payment of 112 million rubles ($1.4 million) for Dolina’s apartment.

The ensuing legal dispute over the rightful ownership of the apartment between Lurye and Dolina received significant media coverage in Russia for several months, ultimately reaching the Supreme Court of Russia.

In December, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Lurye, establishing her as the legitimate owner of the apartment, a decision regarded as a notable victory for individuals lacking ties to the Kremlin within Russia’s legal framework.

According to Russian law, once enforcement proceedings commence, Dolina will have five days to vacate the apartment voluntarily. Should she refuse to do so, bailiffs are permitted to forcibly remove her and her belongings.

Maria Pukhova, Dolina’s attorney, characterized the request for bailiff intervention as an unwarranted “publicity stunt,” despite asserting that the singer had been ready to surrender the apartment since January 5. She did not clarify why the keys had not yet been handed over to Lurye.

Reports from Russian tabloids indicate that Dolina has been on vacation in the United Arab Emirates since early January and is anticipated to return to Russia later this month.
