The creator of iconic titles such as Fable and Black & White, Peter Molyneux, along with his studio 22cans, has officially announced the release date for his latest game— Masters of Albion. This title, which merges strategy, simulation, city management, and tower defense elements, is set to launch on April 22.

In Masters of Albion, players take on the role of a deity overseeing the small village of Oakridge and its inhabitants. During the day, you construct buildings, enhance production, complete quests, and explore the surrounding areas. Players have the unique ability to inhabit any character—be it a villager, a hero, a dog, or even a chicken—and experience the world from their perspective.

However, Masters of Albion is not just about building. At night, the cities are besieged by monsters and beasts, requiring players to defend the populace by employing armies of heroes, protective towers, or their divine powers. Using the «Divine Hand,» players can unleash lightning strikes, fireballs, and rocks or even manipulate people and objects, engaging with the world in an almost unrestricted manner.

The story revolves around the old Albion succumbing to modern technologies, while magic strives to reclaim its place. Players assume the role of the Chosen one, endowed with divine strength, tasked with safeguarding the villagers and contending with an ancient enemy using the power of the Mask.

The game world is open for exploration, allowing players to undertake quests, hunt for treasures, combat bandits in caves, and upgrade their heroes’ equipment. The construction system enables the creation of distinctive buildings.

In one of his interviews, Peter Molyneux expressed that Masters of Albion aims to fulfill some of the promises he once made but could not keep. Whether this endeavor will prove successful can be observed on PC via Steam, though it will not be available in Russian.
