Windsor: It Seems Perez Is Playing the Victim Card

Renowned journalist **Peter Windsor** commented on the statements made by Mexican driver **Sergio Perez** regarding his time with the **Red Bull** team.

«I get the impression that Perez is portraying himself as a victim. I’m not convinced there’s any truth in his claims. It seems that if **Charles Leclerc** had been behind the wheel of the second Red Bull for the past few years, he would have achieved significantly more. It’s possible that Charles could have even contended for the World Championship against **Max Verstappen**. This doesn’t mean Leclerc is currently as strong as Max, but if an exceptional driver were in the second Red Bull, their speed could have been quite comparable to Max’s.

All of this is nonsense; Perez is merely trying to justify why he hasn’t been as quick as Max. Essentially, he’s suggesting that if Red Bull had built a car tailored to his preferences, he would have won four titles, while Verstappen wouldn’t have achieved anything. Is that what he’s implying? I don’t know,» Windsor’s remarks were reported by Crash.
