Grigoryan: Trezeguet Reveals Del Pieros Daily 30-40 Minute Free Kick Training Routine

Russian coach Alexander Grigoryan shared insights about the free-kick training regimen of renowned former Italian striker Alessandro Del Piero.

«Once, I had the opportunity to talk to David Trezeguet about how his former teammate Alessandro Del Piero practiced his legendary free kicks. Trezeguet told me that Del Piero would dedicate 30 to 40 minutes every day to striking from distance.

Even at an advanced age, Del Piero relentlessly and consistently honed his free-kick skills. Nevertheless, I agree that executing long-range shots is a gift. It’s something you must inherently possess,” Grigoryan stated during a broadcast on Match TV.

The 51-year-old former forward Alessandro Del Piero spent the majority of his playing career at Turin’s Juventus, where he played from 1993 to 2012. Throughout his time with the club, he made 777 appearances in all competitions, scoring 315 goals, while also netting 27 goals in 91 matches for the Italian national team.

As a player, he accumulated a total of 16 trophies, including six Serie A championships, and he also triumphed in the UEFA Champions League and the Intercontinental Cup.
