Victory Without Vengeance: Death Stranding 2 Allows Boss Battles to Be Skipped

Hideo Kojima has revealed another intriguing gameplay detail about **Death Stranding 2: On the Beach** during a recent episode of the **Koji Pro** radio show. The developer mentioned that players are not required to defeat bosses in order to progress through the game.

Kojima described this mechanic as follows: players who want to skip a challenging boss fight can simply lose a battle once and then select the option to bypass it. Following this, they will be presented with a «brief recap» of the encounter in the style of a visual novel, which will include all the key narrative elements of the boss fight.

Reactions among gamers online have been mixed regarding this feature. Some view it as overly casual and diminishing the value of boss encounters, while others have praised **Kojima Productions** for enhancing accessibility in the sequel.

**Death Stranding 2: On the Beach** is set to launch on June 26, exclusively for PlayStation 5. There is currently no information about a potential PC version.
