AI Takes Over 30-50% of Tasks at Salesforce

Salesforce, a software development company, has automated a significant portion of its operations using artificial intelligence, according to remarks made by CEO Marc Benioff, as reported by Bloomberg.

Benioff noted, «AI is currently handling between 30% and 50% of the work at Salesforce.»

The company utilizes neural networks for software development and customer service, which allows for a reduction in the workforce.

Salesforce offers an AI product designed to automate customer support without human intervention. Benioff highlighted that the accuracy of this tool has reached 93%.

«We all need to recognize that artificial intelligence is capable of executing tasks that were once performed by humans. This enables us to focus on more valuable work,» the CEO stated.

In the 2000s, Salesforce transformed the software sales landscape by introducing a customer relationship management tool accessible via the internet. Now, the company is incorporating this cutting-edge technology.

Previously, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella mentioned that 20-30% of the company’s code is generated by AI.

It’s worth noting that in August 2024, British trade unions warned about the potential for millions of job losses due to the advancement of AI.
