Alpha Testing of Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy Begins on December 16

Employees of **Owlcat Games** have announced the commencement date for the alpha testing of **Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy**. Players will be able to experience an early version of the game starting from December 16 on [Steam](https://stopgame.ru/to?https%3A%2F%2Fstore.steampowered.com%2Fapp%2F3710600%2FWarhammer_40000_Dark_Heresy%2F).

To join the testing, gamers need only to pre-order **Dark Heresy** through the [official website of the studio](https://darkheresy.owlcat.games/preorder/ru/compare). However, it’s important to note that out of the four available editions, only two provide access to the «alpha»—the «Developer Digital Bundle» priced at $79 and the collector’s edition for $289.

As a reminder, in **Dark Heresy**, players assume the role of an acolyte of the Imperial Inquisition, tasked with assembling a team and traveling from planet to planet within the Calixis sector to eradicate the enemies of humanity. A significant threat arises from the sudden emergence of the Tyranid Star.

There is still no release date confirmed. Meanwhile, **Owlcat Games** continues to support **Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader**. Alongside the development of new expansions, the team has revealed that the game will launch on the Nintendo Switch 2 on December 11.
