Berman Challenges Validity of Penalty in US Grand Prix Sprint Race

Haas driver **[Oliver Berman](https://example.com)** voiced his disagreement regarding the penalty he received following the sprint race at the United States Grand Prix.

To recap, Berman was penalized with a ten-second time addition, which caused him to drop to the back of the classification, losing the eighth position that would have awarded him points. This penalty was a result of his battle with Mercedes’ Andrea Kimi Antonelli, which took place off the track.

«In my view, it doesn’t seem like an infraction that warrants a penalty. It felt as though I was pushed off the track, and I managed to maintain my position. I don’t believe I did anything wrong by not giving the place back,» Berman said, as reported by Motorsport-Magazin.

The sprint race was won by Red Bull driver Max Verstappen.
